Wednesday &
Saturday School
Love Literacy is proud to offer a bespoke classroom provision at Chadwell Heath Community Centre on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Our Classes
Face-to-face learning
Small group sessions
Based in Romford, our small group sessions provide an ideal setting for students to interact with their peers and experienced Tutors. With a limited number of students in each class, we ensure that every individual receives the attention they need to excel academically.
How it works
Student are taught by both qualified and experienced Tutors who engage in rigorous training at Love Literacy. Students are also supported by Intervention Assistants for the additional layer of intensive support. Relevant weekly homework is given with feedback upon submission.
Groups sizes & Resources
Groups sizes are small and homework is marked on-site. KS2-4 students are also given access to online resources for home viewing. KS1 students receive physical home learning tasks in exercise books.
Parent Engagement
We keep parents and guardians informed of their child's progress by writing progress reports twice yearly, and through exercise books, ensuring parents can support their child's academic development.
Free Workshops
Saturday School students benefit from additional free workshops entitled 'Love Create' immediately after lessons, from 12:15noon. Click here to browse.

Update: Following another successful year as both a student and teacher here at Love Literacy, I have been able to learn so much with the help of an amazing team. I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued support!

The workshop that I was involved in ran for about 3-4 weeks and replaced my morning briefings; honestly I learned more skills from the love literacy workshop than I did in my briefings, as we had challenges such as creating starters for a student with a specific need for a specific lesson which at the time was useful because as a T.A I wasn’t confident in being able to take charge and use my own initiative to create starters for specific children; so the workshop made me more mindful of different ways I can implement different strategies into my work with students and I was thankful that Zara was taking me out of my comfort zone by letting me know as a T.A my role was equally important as the teachers and that I should be able to liaise with my class teachers on alternative ways to keep students engaged and learning in a calm and safe learning environment...
